Well the new year is now upon us and the Sun has been making an effort here in Mid wales seeing a welcome return of dry roads. This weeks selection also contains some more of the snow pics from last week with a slight cloud theme to them......
.....but first some from today with these crepuscular rays taken from Hay-on-Wye this very late afternoon
Below a view the cloud hugging the Brecon Beacons - taken just before the New year.

To the right some Icicles of a frozen stream . To the left a close up of some of the frozen snow !!

Below a wintry hilltop view

Below Pen-y-Fan , the highest peak of the Brecon Beacons with Wave cloud looking over the frozen Llanbwchllyn lake.
This one from Monday night Jan 8 th of a Halo around the Moon , the trees in the bottom right give an indication of the size of the Halo , the moon has 'burnt in ' on the long exposure to give a much larger disk than would be visible - i've never seen it this good ...and all before the Eclipse
Well here are some pictures taken just before Totallity of the Moon eclipse - These are not thumbnails !!
